Wheel Throwing Level 1 (4 weeks)
In this beginner course, the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel and creating pieces from start to finish will be covered. All clay, glazes, tools, and firing fees are included in the cost of the class. No experience is needed as this class will begin with an explanation of the ceramic process and move through throwing, trimming, and glazing. The goal of this course is to give students a foundation of skills to build on and the confidence to do so with or without continued direct instruction. Class can be repeated to hone basic skills before moving on to Level 2.

Wheel Throwing Level 2 (4-weeks)
In this second-level course, we’ll continue to build on skills learned in Level 1 and focus on making more intentional forms beyond the cylinder. Bowls, mugs, vases, and handle attaching will be covered. This class will operate more flexibly than the beginner course and specific topics may be adjusted due to class preference and student skill level.
