Wheel Throwing Level 2 (4-weeks)

  • Tooth and Nail Studio and Gallery 2018 South 1st Street Ste 308 (map)

In this second-level course, we’ll continue to build on skills learned in Level 1 and focus on making more intentional forms beyond the cylinder. Bowls, mugs, vases, and handle attaching will be covered. This class will operate more flexibly than the beginner course and specific topics may be adjusted due to class preference and student skill level.

This course is for people have taken the Level 1 Beginner Course and have spent additional time independently developing their skills. Students ready for Level 2 should have no trouble centering, and should be able to throw and trim a basic cylinder with minimal assistance. If you have taken Level 1 at T&N and are unsure if you are ready for Level 2, you can always reach out to your previous instructor and ask for their thoughts! Taking Level 1 more than once is always a great option.

One free open studio session during the month of the class is included so that students can practice or complete extra work.

Required Skills: Centering, pulling up walls, and trimming with minimal assistance.
