Two Day Kids Camp - Fairy Houses with Emily Schamburek
Two days- Wednesday & Thursday July 23rd and 24th, 1-4pm at Tooth and Nail Studio 2018 S 1st street Suite 308 Milwaukee.
For kids ages 8-17
Step into a world of imagination in this magical two-day ceramics camp where kids will design and build their very own fairy houses! Campers will learn hand-building techniques using slabs, coils, and pinch pots to create whimsical dwellings fit for fairies, forest creatures, or tiny magical beings. Whether it’s a mushroom-roofed cottage, a tree-trunk tower, or a cozy burrow, each house will be one-of-a-kind and full of character.
Along the way, kids will sketch their designs, explore texture and form, and add creative details like tiny doors, windows, and nature-inspired decorations. We'll talk about where fairies live, what kind of spaces feel safe and cozy, and how to bring those ideas to life in clay. Pieces will be fired after camp and available for pickup 2-3 weeks later—ready to be displayed indoors or tucked into the garden to spark wonder all summer long!
Emily Schamburek is a potter who work is inspired by nature and colors that bring pops of joy to everyday life. When she is not working with clay she is a nanny for two young boys.
