Glass Etching for Beginners
July 12th 2-4pm at Tooth + Nail Studio 2018 S 1st Street suite 308, Milwaukee, WI.
Try glass etching for something unique and eye-catching! Etching is possible on cups, vases, mirrors, colored glass- you name it! In this workshop, participants will use pre-made stencils to etch designs on glassware. Throughout the process, participants will be taught safety precautions and best techniques. Everyone will walk away with two etched glass jars. All supplies are provided by the instructor. Glass Etching is a rewarding hobby suitable for any skill level. What will you create?
For Ages 18 and older.
Born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, Shelley Feil is a Senior Information Technology major minoring in Graphic Design at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Throughout her education, she has experimented with various art forms such as graphic design, illustration, painting, and 3D printing. Shelley has practiced glass etching for a few years while making custom designs for the pieces. With the art she has created, she has participated and sold pieces at art fairs. Inspired by the practice, she aspires to teach the community about the art through various workshops.
