








Carving & Printing Protest Posters with Ellie Braun
Sunday July 27th 2-5pm at Tooth + Nail Studio 2018 S 1st Street suite 308, Milwaukee.
In this class, the instructor will begin by going over the history of posters as a form of protest and give examples of iconic protest posters. Then, students will be able to design their own poster (approximately 8”x10”). Students will then carve their designs out of linoleum blocks and then proceed to print them onto paper. Students will be able to experiment with different ink colors as well. For ages 16+
Ellie Braun is a Madison-based artist that regularly teaches workshops and classes throughout Madison. In college, one of her focuses was printmaking and she appreciates the accessibility of the medium. She enjoys being able to share these printmaking processes in hopes that it inspires others to continue to work with the medium and expand their creativity.
